Human and Artificial Intelligence Research
HAIR Group conducts research on (1) Understanding AI algorithms and the relationship between human and artificial intelligence, (2) Developing AI for social good, (3) Evaluating the effect of AI on Science, Technology, Innovation (STI), based on the knowledge of automation and data science ( plus, every member has to know how to perform A/B testing).
Additionally, we manage yonsei.ai and sdgs.ai (co-PI: Prof. Semee Yoon). yonsei.ai is where you can find the studies of HAIR Group as well as those of AI scholars in Yonsei University. sdgs.ai is a service where we apply our STI evaluation method to all the existing research with a perspective of SDGs. We also organize a research community on Artificial Intelligence for Better Engagement and Empowerment on Sustainable Development (AI4BEE).
All our research should end up with a scientific paper. Writing a scientific paper is a way to train ourselves to practice logical thinking and actions. Every member of HAIR Group does individual research and group research. Group research is based on research projects and industry projects. For every week, every member has a research meeting with me. In the meeting, the member will get advice not only on individual and group research but also on projects the member does in every class.
