This page provides answers to frequently asked questions related to the Department of Innovation. It is mainly intended for future applicants, but current students may also find some of the information useful.
1. The Department of Innovation currently offers the following degrees:
– M.S. in Innovation 혁신학석사
– Ph.D. in Innovation 혁신학박사
2. The duration and structure of the academic program:
The master's program formally requires four semesters for completion. However,
including the thesis evaluation and submission period, it may extend to 5–6 semesters.
The doctoral program formally requires four semesters for completion. However,
students are also required to take the Directed Research course for two semesters and
must submit their research proposal and dissertation in separate semesters. As a result,
the overall duration of the doctoral program may be longer than that of the master’s
program.

3. Mode of Instruction:
All classes are conducted in English and held in person at the International Campus.
3-1. Class Location:
Yonsei University International Campus (located in Songdo, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon)
A shuttle bus to the Sinchon Campus is provided for students’ convenience.
Information for New Students:
Course registration is held in August (for the fall semester) and in February (for the spring semester). Orientation sessions take place in September (fall) and March (spring).
5. Scholarship Options for International Students:

The Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) offers full tuition support; however, please note
that it is highly competitive.
For details regarding the GKS Scholarship, please refer to the application guidelines below. Kindly ensure that you are consulting the guidelines for the relevant year.

While we do not place restrictions on undergraduate majors as an eligibility requirement,
we recommend that you ensure the research areas of the faculty members in the
Department of Innovation align with your academic and research interests.
