Guidelines for Preventing Frozen Pipes During the Winter Season

Due to concerns about potential frozen pipe incidents caused by extreme cold weather
during the winter season,
we kindly ask for your active cooperation in implementing the following preventive measures:
a. Please ensure that all windows and doors are fully closed.
b. Please make sure to turn off the exhaust fans.
c. Please seal any gaps through which outside air may enter (e.g., door gaps) using tape or similar materials.
d. Please shut off the water supply valves for laboratory equipment that is not in use.
e. For water supply facilities at risk of freezing, please allow a small amount of water to run continuously.
f. For heating equipment installed in each room (radiators, fan coil units), please keep the valves open or switches turned on so that freeze-prevention heating can operate properly.
g. To minimize damage in the event of leakage caused by frozen pipes, please refrain from storing items on the floor.※ Avoid placing items under or around heating and cooling units.
