We would like to share the following notice received from the Central Radio Management Office of the Government of the Republic of Korea.

1.  Electronic devices distributed in Korea (broadcasting and telecommunications equipment), such as tablet PCs, Bluetooth earphones, and keyboards, are required to undergo conformity assessment (KC Radio Certification).

However, in line with the growing trend of overseas direct purchases, electronic devices

purchased through overseas direct purchase for personal use are exempt from the

conformity assessment up to one unit per person.*

* This exemption does not apply if the device is sold within one year from the date of import.

2. Even if an electronic device was purchased for personal use, reselling the device (e.g., through secondhand marketplaces) within one year of its import into Korea may result in penalties in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

3. Therefore, to prevent students from facing disadvantages due to a lack of awareness of the conformity assessment system, please ensure compliance with the relevant regulations outlined in the attached notice.
